  7. It is $40 per boat. Doesn’t matter if you have 2 guys in the boat or if you fish solo.
  8. If you fish a tournament by yourself is the entry fee the same?

  10. Thanks, I am looking forward to fishing more in East Tn Waters now that I am Retired.

  12. I love it. You'll need a sherpa to go where I go lol.
  13. In all honesty, give me rock and a dark colored jig and I'm good lmao.... I'm with you, I can't stand fishing the current conditions...I like staind water but this is down right nasty lol... Gotta fish it though lol... B hits the nail on the head as usual lol... He won't steer you wrong 😎😎...
  14. so, from the dood who prefers a lil color in the water when he's fishing . . . yep, cover water but use your electronix to help you determine where the fish are holding. if you mark fish, then give it a try. no fish, move on to the next spot. with the water level being that dynamic, they're gonna pull back to a depth where they feel it's ~stable, esp the post-spawners. i'd start w/ 5-8', then pull back to 8-12'. shallower water tends to clear up first so don't completely ignore the skinny stuff. points will always hold fish. don't forget transition lanes - those places fish use to move to/from spawning grounds to holding areas.
  15. Cold muddy water and we got it . It’s gona be a fun few weeks . Water is up but will be brought back down .so this week it’s muddy then next the bottom is out of it again . So here’s my question what is your go to strategy. mine is run and gun cover as much water as possible with something like traps or something moving .anybody got a solution otherwise would love to hear what y’all thoughts are . cause this is what everybody will be doing that gets out on the lake for at least the next three weeks. oh by the way if you didn’t catch it earlier. I hate fishing this way. Would much rather this time year have gin clear water and lots of brown fish to charge up with little green worm.

  17. +1 on Merc. A 150 or 175 would go nicely on that Triton you have in mind. The business model behind outboard engines will drive the market to 4-strokes exclusively. No money and no time for maintaining duplicate supply chains. It's just the smart move.
  18. You are right Wes! Our fearless leader at Morristown Marine has been working on my 2003 175HP Johnson and his mechanic has had a really tough time finding parts. Your DoDo reference is spot on. Go with a 4-stroke.
  19. yeah I dont think anyone is making them anymore.
  20. I’m a Merc guy, but ran a Yamaha. I’ve blown em both up. Whatever I get next will be a Four Stroke. I’m afraid that two strokes are going the way of the DoDo bird and parts are going to get a lot harder to get in the years to come.
  21. What yam was it ? I have been looking at a triton 179 or 189 trx.
  22. I’ve always been a Merc man, but my last boat had a Yammie, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Probably the way I’d go on my next one.
  23. Awesome, man. You’ll be happy with that whole setup.
  24. Hahaha... I am hoping to give my unit a try this weekend... Really excited to set it up lol I've got my bearing buddies installed and new bearings and seals installed as well...
  25. Finally got my new Live unit on the water yesterday. Still tweaking settings of course but the image quality is amazing. You can pick the branches on the laydowns on the bottom. Should be great for finding those brush piles in the middle and trees that are standing.. Image seems to stay clear even at 140' setting at 800hz .. will it help me catch more fish? LOL Probably not.. but still a nice new toy to play with
  26. i am in the market in the next couple of months to buy a boat wonder which outboard do you all have on your boat ?
  27. It’ll be a nice unit, Jamie. While you’re doing upgrades, get you a set of Bearing Buddies. LOL
