  1. Rod Socks

I use Stick Jackets and I also have some made by Rod Glove. They are definitely worth the investment. I have not had any problems with mine, as far as, guides poking through or tips breaking off. I couldn't imagine my rod locker without them. I no longer have to spend fishing time trying to untwist rod in my rod locker.
  2. Testers needed

Those baits look great!!! Would you accept baits from a customer? I've got a bunch of baits I would like to get painted. What would you charge if I provided the baits?
  3. Paint stripping

Ok, thanks for the picture! That will really help!
  4. Paint stripping

What exactly is MEK, and where do I get it? I have never heard of this before.
  5. Paint stripping

Thanks man! I'm going to try some different things. the good thing is,I have bought a bunch of used baits over the last few months from a guy on Ebay for super cheap! The ones I'm going top try and strip I have tried not top pay more than $2-$3 for, if I mess one up it's not the end of the world. I think I am going top try and sand the clear coat off then hit them with the brake fluid option. If that doesn't work, then I'm going to try a chemical stripping agent and just be very watchful. Thank you guys once again for all the information that you have given me!
  6. Paint stripping

Ok cool! Thanks for the info!!!
  7. Paint stripping

Some DD22's, Deep Little N's, and some other random baits.
  8. Paint stripping

If I were going to be painting them myself this would be awesome, but I'm sending them to a guy in Texas who paints some really cool baitfish designs. I want to take them down to basically a clear blank. He does some great work with clear baits!
  9. Paint stripping

Hey guys! I have a question for some of the custom painters on here! Other than sitting and sanding all the paint off of a crankbait. What is the best way y'all have found to strip the paint off of plastic crankbaits? I talked to a guy in the paint department at Lowe's and he suggested going to an automotive store and trying to find some sort of compound that would not eat through the plastic of the crankbait itself. I have not talked to anyone at an automotive store, just wanted to get y'all's take on stripping paint off of crankbaits!
  10. 8/21 big fish 5.6

    Great looking fish!!!
  11. rain suit

I have a BPS Pro Qualifier that I've had for close to 10 years now, and it has yet to let me down! The only thing I was I had done in the beginning was buy the bibs instead of the pants. I used to hate bibs, but have gotten to where I like them, probably going to be buying a pair of bibs next spring!
  12. Norris lake summer fishing

Glad you are starting to figure them out! Norris is awesome once you figure things out. That end of Norris is my home waters, if you ever want to go, just shoot me a PM on here. I don't get to go often, just have to plan ahead.
  13. Flurocarbon fluorescent?

+1 The Stren is awful. P-Line make a co-polymer that is coated with fluorocarbon and works really well and is fluorescent!
  14. Rod advice

+1 I have a couple of Powell Rods and they are awesome. I also really like the St. Croix Mojo rods, I have 5 of those! I think you just need to go and put your hands on the rods you are thinking about buying. Every one is going to feel a little different and you are going to have to figure out which ones feel the best!
  15. Spinning Reels

I'm a Shimano guy! I prefer the Sedona and Sahara, in the 1500 and 2500 sizes. I do prefer a high speed spinning reel, mainly for taking up line quicker. I'm very partial to the FB series for the Sedona and the FD for the Sahara.
