Dam spilling affect fishing?

Recommended Posts

From what I understand from now until 15 days out Norris dam will be spilling the flood gates. Since this doesn't happen to often I want some advice on how it affects fishing on the lake side more so rather than the river.  Thanks.

That should mean a steady state current.  Current usually means a more active bite.  Other variables to consider in this case - how muddy the water gets (fish will be tight to cover, less willing to chase moving baits), the rate at which they draw water (too much current), the temperature of the water coming in (colder inflow could cause fish to shut down until it stabilizes).  Just some general observations.
