2019 Classic and AOY points champs

Recommended Posts

To be honest when the votes were tallied and I saw that Douglas was selected for the classic location I was prepared to show up and fish in an overcrowded muddy lake. When we arrived at the ramp it was only our group. There wasn't another person in the parking lot. We had 9 qualified boats show up to fish the year end classic. We were able to blast right at daylight with decent weather and everyone ready to get things underway. The weather stayed great all day and the fish seemed to bite for most of the group. Finding a kicker fish proved to be the problem for all the boats but one. Wes and Steve found a 5lb 6.5oz kicker that placed them well ahead of the rest of the field. The winning bag was 16lb 14.6oz. Here is how the rest of the field played out.

1.  Promax & BulletDeuce………………………...5 fish...…….16lbs 14.6oz...…….5lb 6.5oz BF

2.   TNSmallmouth & HDHoppy………………..5 fish...…….11lbs 14.2oz

3.   MtCarmelBugMan & Alumacraft09.....5 fish...…….11lbs 4.6oz

4.   Tobybol & DonniesHVAC……………………..5 fish...……..9lbs 8.7oz

5.   TrackerTXW175...………………………………...5 fish...……..9lbs 4.3oz

6.   Peck...…………………………………………………….5 fish...……..9lbs 1.4oz

7.   294Stratos...………………………………………...5 fish...……..8lbs 4.2oz

8.   Rodknocker & Triton173...………………….5 fish...……...7lbs 13.4oz

9.   Buckeye73 & Hatfield75...…………………..1 fish...…….2lbs 10.9oz

After the weigh in we had a huge door prize drawing thanks to the hard work of Chris Hopson. I think everyone would agree that they left with more in door prizes than their entry fee. If you all are out I ask that you thank these sponsors and support them as much as you can. They really came through with some great prizes.

Thanks again to ALL these sponsors

Congratulations Wes and Steve on a nice mixed bag of Douglas toads. I’ve attached a picture of the Classic placers with their trophy’s. Looking forward to fishing with you all again next year.

Congratulations to all of the winners this year and thanks to all of you who takes the time to put on the tournaments for us. I wish that me and Jigflipper could have fished more this year but it just didn't work out. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys next year.
