MtCarmelBugMan 176 Report post Posted December 9, 2019 To be honest when the votes were tallied and I saw that Douglas was selected for the classic location I was prepared to show up and fish in an overcrowded muddy lake. When we arrived at the ramp it was only our group. There wasn't another person in the parking lot. We had 9 qualified boats show up to fish the year end classic. We were able to blast right at daylight with decent weather and everyone ready to get things underway. The weather stayed great all day and the fish seemed to bite for most of the group. Finding a kicker fish proved to be the problem for all the boats but one. Wes and Steve found a 5lb 6.5oz kicker that placed them well ahead of the rest of the field. The winning bag was 16lb 14.6oz. Here is how the rest of the field played out. 1. Promax & BulletDeuce………………………...5 fish...…….16lbs 14.6oz...…….5lb 6.5oz BF 2. TNSmallmouth & HDHoppy………………..5 fish...…….11lbs 14.2oz 3. I think everyone would agree that they left with more in door prizes than their entry fee. If you all are out I ask that you thank these sponsors and support them as much as you can. They really came through with some great prizes.
