DMac
What is your favorite setup and technique? Day or Nite? and is there any differences in the old ones and the new ?
bronzebackhuntr
Most people throw them out and reel them in just waking them on the surface. Reel just fast enough so that the bait wobbles back and forth, but doesn't pull under the water. Possibly the best day I have ever had fishing was on a long A on boone, but I was twitching it. It was late fall and the shad were coming up and smacking on the top of the water and I thought that the sound and action of just twitching that long a enough that it kicked the tail would match what the shad were doing and I was right, had 4 smallies over 4 that day and lost one at the boat that was probably 6, along with about 10 or so other smallies. It was one of the funnest days I've ever had. Yeah, the old yellow eyed long a's were more bouyant than the new ones and they were easier to keep up on top.
