jbowers
I kayak fish. Going up Bleadsoe creek off Old Hickory Lake you can reach a point where you will see schools of small mouth. I have had success using a rooster tail. I would probably catch more but the blue gill usually get to it first. Does anyone know of something that will get the bass that wont attract the blue gill. SouthernSam
I like a 1/2 oz Rat-L-Trap this time of year! But just going to some sort of bigger bait will probably help with the bluegill attacks.
brownfish03
Small cranks like bandits are good for this time of year....try 3/16th oz pig-n-jigs too

Mountainman
1/4 or 3/8 oz spinnerbait would be my guess...if they like the roostertail, give em a grown up version of the rooster tail.
