lunkerhunter1982
I have the biggest 24v OMC trolling motor they made on my boat. I actually took off my Minn Kota because I love how smooth and quiet the OMC's are, but you have to change the steering cable about once a year or you have problems. Well, I didn't, and I had a problem. The cable locked up and I was too rough on the foot pedal, and broke the pedal (which is some kind of cast metal, and I deem it too soft to weld). I need just the top part of the two-piece pedal (the piece with the arm on it to screw the steering cable into). I have found a bunch of whole motors, but nobody is willing to just part with the pedal piece. Does anyone know where I might find one?
Stratos260
Try Anchor Marine in Speedwell. They have been an OMC dealer for a long time and have a lot of used parts. (423) 562-1519

Mountainman
Im about 99% sure its made of cast aluminum....which is weldable. If you cant find a replacement part, find a knowledgable aluminum welder and have him tig it up.

I think I would see about just getting it welded..............

lunkerhunter1982
It is aluminum, but I have JB welded it back together, which probably eliminated any chance of getting it welded in the future. Looney, I did not get the PM.
