fishing line

I have fished p-line cxx for years for my night fishing. It is one of the toughest lines I have ever seen. Now here is my problem. All spring before I start night fishing I use braid so when I swap over it takes a little time to get use to setting the hook with the difference in line strech. My question is this what line can I use that is durable, low stretch and visible under UV? I have tried Microfuse but didn't really care for it all that much. I am looking for any suggestions and may give the microfuse another try.

Good question Shannon although I can't help you here cause I don't use braid on any of my reels, never could get used to it and didn't like it when I tried it several times. Although I did like Power Pro better than any of the braids I've tried.

Boys, you just cant go wrong with good ole Bass Pro Excel....if it aint freakin broke, dont freakin fix it. :D Just my opinion, been usin it for years and years. Tried braid, didnt like it. Tried flouro, didnt want to afford it. BPS Excel all the way. Matter of fact, just got 3 new spools of it this very afternoon!

The good thing about that is.... you probably got those 3 spools for the price of one of the others. I actually have a 746yd spool of it sitting next to me. My wife got it for me in the winter for 3 bucks or something @ BPS

I have been throwing 10 pound pp with a 12 pound floro leader on spinning tackle alot lately. Great sensitivity and if you keep your leader long the floro takes the abrasion and the braid gives you all the sensitivity that you could want. (leader length starting at 15 feet, then I retie as I see nics etc, once it is down to around 5 feet or so I replace the leader)

Also you have amazing casting distance with the 2 pound diameter braid, and unlike with mono and floro, if you cast far enough you can not feel squat, but you can cast as far as you want and it is still like you have your hand on the bottom.

Stren has came out with a clear/blue flourocarbon for night fishing BPS sells it. Might want to try using it year round. It's a little pricey but in my opinion you can't beat flourocarbon for bottom fishing. I love the sensitivity.

The Sufix elite has a high vis yellow that would work well under a black light and it is one of the lower stretch mono's on the maket and it handles very well, I like that and the Cajun Red Advantage is another good copolomyer but I'mnot sure if it would show up under a black light.
