JIGSTICK
I'm thinking about investing in a LED light. Has anyone used them and also what is a good light to look into. Ive heard a cat eyes? Is that correct?

Tracker1861
Which one are you running? I'm running the Extreme. Like I said, before you go shell out the $$$ for it just let me know and I'll let you take mine for a spin first and see what you think about them. Best accessory I've ever put on my boat without question.
JIGSTICK
I'm curious about those extreme cordless. I wonder if that's a rechargeable or a plug in that you have to cut the base into the boat...
SJK
1/4" phono jacks...like an electric guitar...they aren't too tough to install.

SJK
yeah...the downside is they can hold water and corrode....even the ones they say won't...I've had to replace a couple in 3 or 4 years.

I'm sure that Trackers uses the 12 volt power outlet (Lighter) in the boat.

Triton196
Might want to look into a more sensible affordable alternative such as the Moonlite's full moon.

Yea you're probably right Jeff although I guess it's why you always seem to ask for my light (Nucli-Eye) when we go out instead of the Moonlite. Mountainman
SHEEEEEWWWW!!! Man them are pricey...... Maybe Im missing out on something, but Ive got 10 yr old Stan Sloan and a 5 or 6 yr old bass pro special and I have zero complaints about them. Maybe not the brightest or best, but I have no trouble seeing my line tick, twitch or jump on the most moonlit nights.

Tracker1861
I'm for sure not knocking either the Stan Sloan (got one for backup but never used it since I got my Nucli-Eye) or the Moonlite but IMO, it's all about getting what you pay for. All these lights are good but it gives me piece of mind knowing when I got out I'm not gonna blow a bulb or loose the big bulky thing in the drink when going up the lake. Mine is fully waterproof and totally submersible so water isn't an issue with mine. Heck if you want to use it stuck on the side of the boat under the water, it's good to go with that too.....actually it was designed to be used under water if you choose to do so. Try that with any other brand of light and see how long you fish at night with your black light.
Mountainman
Im sure they are as awesome as a blacklight can get, at least if I pay $300 a piece for them, they dang well better be! And Im sure you do get what you pay for, and to each his own, but if everyone gives me the service ive had out of these two, I could buy many of them for what Id have in one nuli-eye...... whj812
The only LED Black light Ive saw is Trackers and it was bright as all get out. It had a UV and a blue setting if im not mistaken. I really like it. Im stuck with my little Optronics BPS special for now. If I had the extra cash it would be a real toss up with the Nucli-Eye or the Moonlight. Really have to go with your gut on it. Im sure they are both good products and well worth the money!

Well just keep asking for mine "behind" the scenes and away from the website but yet continue to downgrade it on here for all to see, it's ok......we both know you really like my Nucli-Eye and that's ok if we keep it our little secret. Didn't downgrade your blacklight its a fine product. Just cannot find the justification to spend a $100+ on a extra bulb and aluminum housing. Also I haven't been asking for your "behind" I don't swing that way.

But it still don't give any explination on why you still ask for my Nucli-Eye when you own the Moonlite?? Is it because of the "extra" bulb and aluminum housing? I get it though, in order to admit liking it better you must first tell yourself that.......it's the first step, you've already showed me you like the Nucli-Eye better. Besides, my Nucli-Eye is just fine using it alone, why isn't the Moonlite?
