eastenfish
Installing a water pressure guage on a 1995 Skeeter with a 150 Yamaha. One guy told me to get a "T" fitting and install into the pee tube. However, had another tell me I had to have a water sending unit to screw into the back of the motor. I can wire and install the guage fine. Anybody have a clue as to which one is right or will both work?

The gauge I bought for my 90 a few years ago came with the tee and instructions to put it there.
softbaitmaker
I have a water gauge on my Skeeter and it is mounted in dash and hooked into a brass fitting on motor and plastic line runs from the fitting to the gauge. I can get a picture of it where it mounts on my Yamaha and send it to you if you need me to. Won't be no problem.

I'm going to mount the dash and run all wires and hoses tonight that way all I have to do tomorrow is screw it in. A picture would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. eastenfish
Thanks softy I appreciate it. I got everything ran last night. It was pretty easy. The guy I put it in for didn't have a bracket for the back of his guage. So I had to make one out of some metal I had laying around. After I got the bracket made it was a sinch. I did cheat a little because of course like everyone else his speedometer doesn't work. So I just stole the hot and ground off of it to light the guage. After that drilled hole, mounted, lighted, ran tube down boat and into motor and all done. Went to dealer today part didn't arrive. All I have to do is screw into the hole softy showed me and push tube in and all done. His motor is exactly like yours softy. I know the exact hole to thread it into. Thanks. Now one thing you need to remember is if and when you winterize the boat make sure you pull the hose off the gauge and motor and blow compressed air through the hose. If you don't the gauge will freeze up and break and the hose will pop off and come spring when you fire the boat up your will have a water leak under console on floor and a gauge that won't work. i take mine off the motor and blow compressed air through complete line and then when I put it back on motor I use a wire tie tightened down with pliers to hold hose on motor. Just a few tips I learned after first cold winter and had to replace the gauge and learned my lesson.
