it has its place like braid does. good for jig, t-rig or anything that isn't top water. stick with mono for top water

It appears from this article that mono would be the best choice for deep crankbaits also. If fluoro keeps stretching and getting thinner and weaker I'm not sure I would trust it after a few trips of pulling a big crankbait.
