JoeP
I've not used a t-rig in a billion years. Well, not since I discovered the shaky head anyway.....
blind hawg
When I do throw a t-rig (if you know me that is RARE) I like a straight shank hook snelled . Weight is up to the fish but I will use 1/4 to 7/16 .
fisherman1989
I use a gamakatsu 5/0 worm hook
NETangler
I use 2/0 truturn hook with 6 inch plastic worms and 1/8 oz sinker mostly in summer.
trackertxw175
i no longer use a regular worm hook. EWG 3/0 to 6/0 depending on what i am throwing. deep hooked too many with a regular worm hook. i try to use as light a weight as i can get by with 1/8 - 3/16 and i dont peg it unless i am throwing it into heavy stuff then i will use heaviest weight i can find
Swimbait75
I don't throw a conventional t- rig much these days. I mainly use a shaky head setup or the wobble heads which work great.
Tobybol
3/0 hook round bend with 1/4 weight.
BassinHomer
Man I LOVE a "baby" T-rig on spinning gear, 3/16 or so bullet weight, small hook small lure. Sorry all these years I've been bass fishing I still don't know my hook sizes, I always buy according to the size of plastic I'm fishing and I eyeball it, sorry
Tallen
I fish a Texas rig with a 3/0 gamakatsu and normally a 3/8 sinker. Haven't fished a shaky yet.

softbaitmaker
I think I have every type of hook Owner makes and I use the hook that best fits the situation and the bait for best hook ups and I fish a T-Rig about 70% of the time I am on the water. I tried a shakey head a couple times that snoot sent me back years ago but just cannot get a feel for it plus I think they probably work better on spinning gear which I don't own any of. Mountainman
This time of year, I usually super size my t-rigs. 7/0 or 11/0 round bend Gamakatsu with a 1/4 or 5/16 weight & an ol monster or mag 2 worm
SouthernSam
I love fishing a texas rig. I pretty much only use EWG worm hooks 1/0 - 5/0, fishing small craw type baits up to larger worms. I try and use as light of a bullet sinker as I can get away with, 1/8 or 3/16. I have never even tried to peg a worm weight...but maybe I should give it a try sometime.
brwnbass
11/0 hook!!!! jeezus what are you fishing for?? i dont own a hook bigger than a 5/0 ewg & rarely use those. i normally use a 4/0 or 5/0 straight shank round bend hook depending on how big the bait is. i throw a 1/4 to 3/8oz tungston sinker. also love the shaky head. 3/16 or 1/4 oz. Mountainman
11/0 hook!!!! jeezus what are you fishing for?? Go big or go home, hoss. Throw a 12-16" ribbon tail worm & you better have a LONG shank on that hook, or youre gonna get alot of worm halves back after setting the hook. chubb36
I mainly use a shaky head myself and have had alot of luck with it. Occasinally i may switch it up but thats what i have the most confidence in thats just my preference tho
Guest
cant beat the Ole Shaky Head .....i use 1/16 oz with 2/0 hooks up to 3/8 oz with 6/0 EWG Hooks......if any of you guys are interested......try a few of mine...you wont be disappointed....and they are a lot cheaper than the ones from the sporting goods stores....65 cents a piece for now,...plus actual shipping cost...........we pour Round Head,,Football Head and also Stand Up Round Head Shaky Jugs......
