Built my first Buzz Baits lastnight

Recommended Posts

wow!! looks great! nice job.

a long time ago, when i lived in NW Indiana (where i was born and raised)  i found some "in-line" buzz baits that were made by a guy locally, and really liked 'em. i've always wondered if i could make them myself but haven't ever tried.

at the time they were just called "Floyd's Baits", and they had a weedless wire on them that made them work great in some of the lakes i fished up there. i still have some.

I had a buddy down in Knoxville that put together some and made an epoxy head on them so they were a little wider, but still light enough to stay on top.  You could roll those things as slow as you wanted to and they still worked great.  I'd love to get some more of them, but he and the guy that made them together had a bit of a falling out.  I may try to replicate it and see if I can make some.
