Mountainman
Anybody used these much?? Had a guy at the bait shop today trying to sell me on them. I bought a couple to see if they are as good as what he says. Seem awful flimsy to me.........
trackertxw175
my oldest son bought some and we fished them on a carolina rig one time and missed so many fish. i took mine off and went back to ewg hook and i started to catch them while he still missed. he changed hooks and started to hook up. last time i used them. Mountainman
These particular ones were poured into a leadhead and made into a 3/16 oz jig.
trackertxw175
after we fished that day, the bend of the hook had the point of the barb almost pointed at the shank. have looked at others since and they were made similar.

brwnbass
I have tried them before & the only good use i found for them was on a fluke. Missed too many bites on a t-rig with them.

Mountainman
I must say, all fish were really well-hooked. I felt that the sickle hooks were gonna be too flimsy, but that long skinny 2 1/2 lb SM didnt bend it at all. Regardless of the jig position in the fish's mouth, the hook penetrated all the way thru and sisnt leave a gaping hole. Impressed, but need to play with them some more.
