BulletDeuce
Just curious if anybody on the forum dove hunts? I haven't been in a few years, & usually try to hit a field or two opening week. I've hunted several TWRA fields & they can be hit or miss, in addition to a little crowded. It would be cool to get a hunt up & shoot a few birds.
SilverFox
I use to shoot them every year. Haven't hunted them in years now. Shells are so high now it'll coat an arm and a leg to kill a limit.
GlitterRocket
I haven't dove hunted in several years, but always had a good time. i'm in, as long as chris is not there. i've been giving him a pretty hard time the last few days, and it probably wouldn't be wise to be around him if he's carrying a shotgun. lol! Mountainman
I grew up hunting them....and there is nothing like a grilled dove breast! Anymore, tho, its hard to find a field to hunt & the ones that will let you hunt either charge an arm & a leg or the field is so full of other hunters you get peppered on every other flyover. fisherman1488
As a child Dad would take an empty 8 track box full of shells and we would sit in the middle of recently cut cornfield in PA where I grew up. It was an exvellent time and taught me to lead the bird so when I went Ringed Necked Pheasant hunting I was spot on. Dove is delicious. Since moving down here my hunting days are few and far between. Good luck if yall go.
lunkersox3815
I go dove hunting every time I get the chance. It is one of a few things you can hunt and still have a good time getting to shoot more than once every three or four trips. I am always up for a good dove shoot.
