fisherman1488
I am getting ready to buy a set of digital scales and would like some input to influence my decision. Reliability, accuracy, battery life, price, and ease of use are all important to me. Thanks for the input.
maw10
i can't give you a whole lot of input. i bought the cheapest one i could find at Sportsmans Guide off the innerweb. (just make that all one word, small letters, and add a dot com) it's a Rapala brand...25 pound. tested it with a five pound bag of sugar and it was right on. i hope this helps. SilverFox
I have Berkely and x tools. The Berkely didn't read right... Then I took the battery out and killed the unit... Put it back in and now it matches the x tools. I check them with weights often and they stay within an ounce of each other. The Berkley I have are a couple years old. BulletDeuce
There are a bunch to choose from Jim. I have had good luck out of the old school Rapala Normark Scale. We weighed our fish on it Saturday Night & they were right on vs the same scales we used to weigh everybody. I would advise you to get a set that will hold the weights of your best 5 & help you cull.
