softbaitmaker
My pattern and baits for right now is anything I have tied on that a fish will hit works for me at this time of year. Bass are focused on those pods of 1.5 and 2 inch Shad and getting them to hit anything else is pure good ole fashion luck for me.
Tracker1861
Just keep running and gunning while keeping my options open for anything to be honest with you. When the fish are trasistioning it can be really tough, just like it is now for most everyone that gets to go fishing.
BassinHomer
pretty much throw everything I have till I find em', at least untill they start following the shad really well into the coves

Mountainman
Well, personally, toward the end of the month, I like to pack my fishin rods in bubble wrap, moth ball them real good and bring out the treestand and the bow.
Charger
Im like Andy, except I exchange the bass rods for the crappie rods.
31Airborne
Topwater, flukes or swimbaits, cranks. Will keep one or two summer presentations handy - shakyhead and c-rig usually - because the weather will bounce back forth. Have had a lot of success lately w/ wacky rigged stick baits. Softy's stuff has been real good to me of late. Great for follow-up to a missed topwater strike and for working submerged cover.
whj812
I dont know but..... I did find a good Smallie bite last year on mainlake points on the old Deep Crank. The key was to have the dam pulling water and bait nearby.
lunkerhunter1982
Figuring out the bait is the key. If you can find the bait when it is suspended, and figure out the correct presentation to trigger the fish, you can nail big sacks. If you don't figure out that key piece of info, it sucks. This can be one of my favorite or least favorite times of year to fish, depending on whether I have found them or not haha.
Jon
Crank and jig... I use the graph and let that decide which flavor to throw..

davidcaldwell21
I've been catching fish here and there but they seem to be hit and miss...scorch during the day freeze at night...its a combo thats killing the fishing...but its getting better. all i have to say is... JIGS and Buzzbaits!
brwnbass
I like to throw jigs alot this time of year. Because when the water is going down fast like it is now, the crawdads have to find new dens & are out moving alot more & the fish key on them alot more, esp on norris where the water is being pulled wide open for 12 hrs a day right now.
