trackertxw175 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Share Posted September 10, 2010 just bought a left hand retrieve abu garcia ambassadeur no other number or marking. it is black with red crank handle. it is the half handle with a short counterweight on handle. tried to post pic from my phone but file too large. one website said number would be under mount foot but it just looks like serial numbers 072900. my friend has had for 20-30 years and didn't use much due to it being left handed. spooled it up with line and took to creek for a few casts makes that nice whirring noise when you cast. tied on a paca craw and caught 2 small lm on first 3 casts. had to leave as it started to rain. any clue as to what series. it looks similar to the 5000 series but this doesn't have the double knob handle.i put tape on edge of spool 3.5 to 1 !!!
