Wiseguy909
I went by the local sporting goods store today and got my hands on the new Abu Garcia Veritas rod. It was the white rods that "IKE" used on the elite tour this year. Its a nanotechnology rod like the carrot stick. To me its basically a $100.00 carrot stick. The grip and the reel seat are almost identical. I have been purchasing Shimano Clarus and Diawa Light and Tough rods. I am considering purchasing one of these rods. I have never owned a carrot stick or used one. If some you guys own a carrot stick, please give me your input on them.
bronzebackhuntr
I love my carrot stick. It's one of the originals. After that the newer ones have supposedly been junk. What is the warranty on them?

cnpitbull
I got a Veritas in the 7' MH and love it. I normally fish Shimano Compre's, but have been primarily throwing the Veritas since I picked it up.

rangerex
I havent had the chance to fish 1 of them yet, but the verdict and the veretas both feel pretty darn good for the money. I believe the warranty is 5 years. I still feel like the lamiglass excel spinning rods are the best bang for your buck.

bronzebackhuntr
Well, I broke down and got a 7'6" flippin stick on monday night. Wanted like crazy to catch a fish on it so I slow rolled a nighttime blade on it and caught a decent smallie. Felt good fighting the fish, now I gotta catch something flippin or on a c-rig with it to see how sensitive it is. I know that blade was vibrating my arms with it.
