MtCarmelBugMan
Now that the year is finished I thought it would be interesting to share some data I collected through the year. We had an average of 18 boats to participate in the tournaments this year. With the most being 21 on Douglas We averaged 14 boats weighing in at least 1 fish. Douglas had the highest percentage of weigh ins with boats weighing fish 86% of the time. The average number of limits was 6.27 Douglas also had the highest percentage here with limits weighed 54% of the time. The average weight was 8.39lbs The highest average of bags brought in was Cherokee in Dec. @12.58 Big fish average through 11 tournaments was 4.99lbs The biggest being Douglas tx8 @ 6.73lbs The Average winning weight was 16.32lbs The largest was the spring Douglas TX with 21.49 and Boone spring tx coming in a close second at 21.18 Just some things I found interesting. Thought I would post it.
trackertxw175
Interesting numbers. Thanks for keeping up with this Shannon. My unofficial guess on bad weather during a TNBF event:45% or more, lol Edited December 18, 2013 by trackertxw175
BulletDeuce
Interesting Numbers indeed! Does anybody else see the hidden agenda in this message? Let the politicking & buy off's begin for the 2013 Classic.
Tobybol
Interesting Numbers indeed! Does anybody else see the hidden agenda in this message? Let the politicking & buy off's begin for the 2013 Classic. I see it, but I'm thinking it won't work. I see a lot of Boone fisherman on the classic list, and I'm pretty sure Shannon said he hated Douglas our last tourney down there, so I wonder who's in his back pocket
MtCarmelBugMan
I have always finished horrible at Douglas and have done pretty well at Boone so there is no agenda with me but I do think the classic should rotate between all the lakes that are on the trail as bad as I hate to say it even Ft.Pat and SoHo. MtCarmelBugMan
Oh and that isn't why I posted this anyway I just found it interesting. You also have to keep in mind with the limits weighed in and boats weighing in that Douglas has a 12" limit on large mouths. This helps a lot with the limit deal. Also keep in mind that Cherokee has an18" limit on SM this I know hurt some people this past weekend. Me and Matt were 2 of the ones it hurt. If we went to a 15" limit on Douglas I am sure the limits caught would drop significantly. BulletDeuce
For the entire year, there was 1,407.34 Lbs worth of fish weighed in. That eclipses all previous years of the Trail combined.
