Mayle
I've never owned one but heard good things about them. Sounds like a heavy action just because In most cases flipping and pitching rods will more then likely be heavy. Look like they retail for. 59.99 to. 79.99. I would bet its a good Rod. Nice gift!! GlitterRocket
I wouldn't worry too much about what the labeled action is. if it says pitch'n stick, then it's a safe bet that it will have a "middle of the road" feel to it, in relation to what most folks desire in a flipping/pitching rod, and being a 6'10" it may be a little more accurate when pitching than some longer rods(but that may be a personal preference thing). ya probably just want to spool it up with you favorite fluorocarbon and jig and see what she feels like. there can be pretty big difference in how each rod manufacture labels the action and/or power of their rods. even if the suggested line size and bait weight are the same for two rods doesn't mean they share action/tapper or power, especially coming from two separate rod builders. in this case tho, I would think that they should be fairly close to one another in terms of action and power. a fishing rod is a great gift, and coming from your grandfather I'm sure it will have a special meaning with you for years to come. I have had a few H2O rods and they have worked pretty well, although I have had some breakage problems.
