wormman
I went to the lake the other day and was cut short when i couldnt get my boat to start back. I talked to my fishing partner about it and he said it sounded like the starter to him. He was right about what i was hearing the piece on top of the starter was just spinning and not hitting. Greased it up and tried again this morning before church for a few hours and it all happened again. When i got home from church me and my dad took a look and sure enough i just didnt have my terminals tight enough from where i took my battery out for our last tournament. Talk about feeling like an idiot lost about 6 hours of fishing because of stupidity. Just glad it turns over every time now.

JIGSTICK
I had the same issue with my trolling motor battery about a month ago. Got to the lake, ran about 5 miles, dropped the trolling motor, moved about 30' and that was it. Got aggravated and started investigating everything and forgot about the battery til I got back to the boat ramp. Easy fix and got to continue the day. doc
you better clean the grease off or it will stick later on. most grease turns to glue when it gets old. oil is all you need on the starter shaft.
