Well.......things didnt pan out as well as I had intended, but thats why they call it hunting, i guess. Indiana has had a rough Fall thus far. According to the locals, its been over 13 weeks since they have had any significant rainfall and the coolest temps thus far were while we were there Sunday and yesterday. Needless to say, the big boys werent getting tuned up yet. Didnt see but a few deer in the woods due mostly to the wind. Sunday had 30 mph fairly constant with 50 mph gusts. Deer just dont move when its like that. Went riding around after dark and saw some nice bucks. Couple of 140-class bucks and several 120&130's. Hopefully, i can go back up at least one more weekend. The smaller bucks were starting to get excited a little, but very few scrapes & not a whole lot of buck sign yet. Matter of fact, most bucks were still running in small bachelor groups.:scratch::rolleyes:

Oh well......ya win some & ya lose some. Too bad the weather didnt cooperate better. I really hate it for the local farmers up there tho. They are in a bad way. According to the weather channel, that area is over 5" low for the year in rainfall. WOW! Dry dont even describe it accurately.

my daughter and son-in-law go next week for same in ohio.

Where abouts in Ohio, just curious

The county I'm in and surrounding counties (Montgomery) is over run with deer. I kind of laugh when people here travel hours to get to Southeastern Ohio to hunt for them

Yep it's been really dry up here, the rivers are almost to a trickle. The wind has really played havoc to, it has kept a lot of fisherman off the big pond for the fall bite for over a month.

Where abouts did you go Andy? I'm 30 minutes from the Indiana border at Richmond

I went fishing Sunday, first stop was to the gas station and some guy pulled in with a 10buck in his pickup bed, he was stuffing it with bags of ice, you should have seen some of the looks he got from non hunters
