Jhatcher
Got my 16ft duracraft Jon boat and a set of two new rod holders from bass pro for trolling. Should I mount them to the transome or up towards the bow a little ways? I do not have a steering wheel so I will be in the back driving and I was concerned that I may get in the way of landing a fish.

BulletDeuce
Any ideas or thoughts? Any help is appreciated. Thx guys. Not many folks troll on this site, with the exception of a bronzebackhuntr fellar. The majority of us don't fish for the carp with tuxedos. Mountainman
I would think they'd need to be within easy reach of wherever you'll be sitting. As BD said, not many trollers on here, so my suggestion is merely a guess
whj812
That Charger Fellow had a setup for rods on that boat of his that utilized the back seat hole on his bass boat for trolling for crappie I think..... was a neat setup. Does he ever get on here anymore? He might be able to help.
Peck
I've seen a lot of striper/crappie guys with rod holders mounted on the corners at the transom. I wouldn't think they would hinder landing a fish and would be in close reach while you are trolling.
Jhatcher
Thx guys. I think I have an idea of what to do. The transom seems like the best place.
