Going to take Bug boat in for repair today!!

Recommended Posts

After spending a week doing all the testing I know how to do with zero positive results  I will be taking her to S&R Marine in Cookville to get her fixed. They are the only dealer that has touched her since I bought her new. I had a warranty repair done there after the Yamaha Corp Customer rep told me they are the best Yamaha dealer in all of Tennessee and recommend the very highly. They have been doing all my yearly maintenance and always treated me really fair on prices. Wish me luck it won't break the bank on this one........... :thumbsup2:  :thumbsup2:

Mine had been out of commission for half a year, I feel your pain. Best of luck

I don't expect mine to be down that long. S&R normally moves fairly quick on my boat when I take it in. They said they were about 2 weeks behind so hoping to get it back middle of June or earlier. Son In Law should be experiencing Fishing DT's by then and ready to pull his hair out................. :banana057::thumbsup2:

  • 1 month later...

Got my Bug Boat back last Monday and she is back in top performance once again. Had to rebuild both Carbs and replace exhaust pans inside the motor as they had burned holes in them allowing exhaust to leak in cylinders on intake stroke. Got complete tune up, new water pump, lower unit resealed and serviced and new Yamaha primer bulb and bill was $908.00 with 1 year parts and labor warranty because S&R used original Yamaha Parts for the repair. Took a month but got it back in time for son in law to have it for 4th of July Camp out they have on Center Hill Lake each year................... :thumbsup2:  :thumbsup2:  :thumbsup2:
