TR21X
Looking at a Helix 10 G2 SI and there is not a barcode sticker on the back telling what the unit is. I can go to the info page & it tells the S/N, description, hours, etc. With that barcode missing on the rear, would that be of concern. Owner says he doesn't know what happened to it & doesn't remember seeing it.I've never seen a HB (that I can remember) without one. Would this make this unit illegal somehow? Thanks
SteveHTN
Hm, I personally would be a little leery of it. Doesn’t necessarily make it an illegal unit (might have gotten wet, rolled off, who knows), but I’d make him fire it up, and double check that everything works, and that it’s legitimately an SI unit (not just DI or standard sonar). Also, being a G2, it should run MEGA SI.
31Airborne
The model, generation will come up on the first splash page. It'll also show all of the functions (SI, DI, Mega, etc). Bar code stickers don't just come off. They're secured pretty well. Like Steve said, I'd be a lil leery on this one. Do a complete function check on it before pulling the trigger. Agreed, but oddly enough, I checked the bottom of my newest one earlier, and there was some wrinkling and air bubbles there, and I bought it brand new last summer. Who knows
