Jamie De Vera
Ok guys. I have a question or two lol. Is it possible to replace a wood stringer with a composite or fiberglass stringer system? Who could do it and would it be even worth it? Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks! Whopper
It is possible but I can't help ya with who down your way can do such a project. There's a ton of Marina's in Lake Write region that does them.
BulletDeuce
I’ve seen a few done on the Interweb. But those who did them had time and facilities to pull the top cap off and redo everything. IMHO not a cheap repair anyway you cut it. SteveHTN
Doug knows a guy in his neck of the woods that can do it. He does good work. I was gonna take the Astro to him, before I got a major case of stupid and sold it to try to appease my ex-wife 😐🔫
JbmidTn
I've rebuilt a boat with coosa board and it is expensive. I'd also definitely recommend having a shop give you some quotes first as working with glass and resin isn't fun.Not trying to down anyone for rebuilding a boat I'm just pointing out some of the negatives. The positives is that you have a boat that you already know thats should be better than new.
