Wes19c
I have an old school depth sounder/flasher sonar, its an ultra-sounder made by Humminbird. great for reading depths while running, but they are hard to find nowadays. Mine just stopped working. I took it apart and discovered the light bulb on the face plate is broken. Does anybody know where i can find parts for these things? Mountainman
Take the bulb & try Radioshack or any small electrical shops nearby. Shields electronics in Bristol has alot of small stuff like that.

Shields electronics in Bristol has alot of small stuff like that. Thanks for the reply! yeah i thought about doing that but the bulb completely shattered, like vaporized. Nothing left but 2 wires sticking out where the bulb used to be. I've never had any experience with these things, i cant find any info online and i dont know what kind of light bulb to look for. Any advice?
Mountainman
hmmmmmm......if you can get the bulb base out, you might get some size/voltage info off of it.....?!?!? other than that, try ebay for a whole used unit.
Wes19c
the base to the bulb is gone too. Its a flasher unit that came from a 1990 bass tracker that was installed in the dash from the factory. It says Tracker Ultra-Sounder on the face plate and it was made by Humminbird. I cant find anything on ebay or any information at all anywhere on the web, other than a couple of message board posts from 10 years ago. I've searched and called parts stores, still nothing. Are there any marine centers in the tricities or surrounding areas that might have old parts for these?
softbaitmaker
You might try a marine dealer we have here locally. They are noted for buying out boat parts warehouses that are either going out of business or updating to newer stock and this marine dealership goes and buys all of outdated stuff. Just an idea but I have known them to come up with alot of stuff you would have thought you could never find. http://www.candomarine.com
pccustomtackle
Try calling Hummingbird, they may keep part # 's of old units. Only out a phone call if not ???

basslover79
I have one in my boat that I dont use because it never would work right but the flasher lights up when u turn it on. I unhooked it but left it in my boat because of the hole in the dash, but if the bulb will work I will give it to you. It is a hummingbird so maybe it will work. If you can put a part # or some pics of it I will check for you.
