Buckeye83
TJ and I decided to take a day off work and hit the water. Water temperature was 49 when we got on the water at 9am and it was up to 54 when we loaded up at 5:30pm. We ran up in the river and started throwing a spinnerbait and a chatter bait. We caught a couple of good smallmouth up but they were generating to hard to stay up there to long. We worked our way down catching several fish on different baits. Spinner baits, chatterbaits and Texas rigged creature baits. My trolling motor batteries crapped out around 1 so we didn’t get to fish all the spots we wanted to hit but managed a few fish here ant there along the way. We never found any type of pattern, we caught fish from 6” of water to 10’ deep. We ended up catching roughly 16 fish from 10” long to a couple 3lbers. TJ caught one of the best looking small jaws I’ve seen in a long time. Hope to get back out there in the next couple of weeks as it should be about right to site fish!! Tight lines fellas!!
