whj812
I recently had to replace the old Prop on my Yamaha 4stroke 50HP and went to East TN Prop to pickup a new one. I had a 3x10x15 prop and the guy there recommended I go with a less pitch prop but more diameter. It was a really good choice!! The boat seems to handle loads alot better now and will run about 4mph faster with just me ticking 39 now! Which is crazy... in that little boat. It also will stay up out of the water at slower speeds 13-15mph allowing me to navigate through shallower areas on plane and once im in the clear, back to the throttle and it will pick right back up nicely. Anybody ever use these Michigan wheel Props? I ended up getting another aluminum prop but it seems stiff compared to other aluminum props.... I like it alot!! softbaitmaker
I have a Michigan Wheel Stainless Ballistic Prop on my Bug Boat and it has been on it since I got it new in 1998 and does not have 1 nick in blades and yep the blades are made a lot thicker than blades I have looked at on other motors. I have great hole shots and it pushes my Skeeter to 61mph.
