brwnbass
Try looking in the HELP!!! section at the auto parts store, they usually have all kinds of odds & ends like that. What is the purpose of the piece thaat is stuck on it?
trackertxw175
does it connect to another terminal or is it a ground? in either case if you are replacing this it looks like a circuit breaker you could use a piece of heavy wire with terminals crimped on each end to connect the new one to whatever the bracket hooks to. stereo wire 0-2 guage or short piece of tractor cable from co-op. they could make you a short enough piece with ends crimped in cable heavy enugh to handle 24v
basslover79
It is a fuse that goes to my trolling motor and I have another one on my electronics . I didn't pay attention when I put my batteries back in it and left the wing nut loose and this happened..
Mountainman
Actually, it is a circuit breaker. There are 2 types: resettable(with a puch button on the side) & non resettable. Any boat dealer/marine mechanic should have them for about $8 or $10.
MOONlite
most boat dealers carry the metal strap. you don't have to fasten the breaker directly to the battery. just make a short jumper to go from battery to breaker. make sure and fasten it so it doesn't bounce around. i'm not a big fan of the straps because of corrosion. Charger
Use a piece of 18 gauge sheetmetal and drill 2 holes. Easy and cheap!
softbaitmaker
This is the circuit breaker(Fuses) I use on my trolling motor. They are 50 amp auto reloaders and when they break to power if you wait 10 seconds and step on trolling motor your on the move again. No having to punch bottons in the back. Just wait 10 and go. I get them at NAPA Auto parts and the part number is 782-3001 and they are made by Balkamp Inc. Hope this helps.........

softbaitmaker
Reset-able circuit breaker is the way to go You may be right Whopper but the one in my boat at present is 7 years old and has never failed yet to work. But with that said I do have three spares in the boat just in case. I bet if I didn't have the back ups it would have died years ago....... lunkerhunter1982
I keep a whole box of fuses and wire and cutters and wire strippers and electrical tape and everything else in the boat haha. Seemed like I had to replace my fuel bubble on the gas line every year. Put a spare in the boat 5 years ago and haven't changed it yet. . .funny how that works. I will say that a few tools and spare parts can keep a small problem from turning into a disaster. And oh, one thing I never leave the dock without is spare relays for my trim. One of those going out is about the biggest pain imagineable.
