SilverFox
The nut that holds my blade on... the plastic part that is on top the nut is broken. I'll probably have to get some vise grips or something to take it off. Will any type nut fit it? I looked on the BPS website and all they are showing is the Minnkota ones. I kept a spare blade and nut along with shear pins in my other boat but until now I hadn't thought about it with this boat.

softbaitmaker
Are you speaking about the plastic nut that holds the prop onto the shaft. If so I have about 3 and more than willing to send you one if it will help. Just let me know. softy
SilverFox
Yeah it's the plastic nut thing that holds your blade on... the plastic broke and left the nut attached. I appreciate the offer SBM but I'll just pick one up here somewhere. I saw them for sale somewhere with the tool and spare shear pins... just can't remember where. It's not a problem now, just would rather fix it in case I need to take it off on the water when I get line wrapped around it.

Be glad to send you a couple if you can't locate any.
Charger
In case you dont know, Motorguides have a little secret door up front under the where the motor lays. Flip it up and you will find a spare nut.
softbaitmaker
Yep, charger is correct. That cover is actually a tool kit which has a toll for removing the nut, In the top of that toll under the cap is four extra shear pins and laying bottom side up is a backup nut. It only took me a year to discover it was there after I bought my first Motor Guide.......... Never said I was a fast learner.......
SilverFox
I'm gonna have to check that out. Thanks
SilverFox
I looked... can't find any door. I guess since mine is the 12 volt 46 model, they skipped out on the extras.
