well guys as you may have seen in my report my BPS carbon lite broke so I'm looking to replace it with a rod in the same price range.Based on the reviews on BPS website my choices are pretty much what you see in the above poll, I'm really leaning towards the Mojo Bass or the Temple fork outfitters.

I would add $20 and get the Veritas. I've got two and they are extremely light and very sensitive. :thumbsup2::thumbsup2:

If you're talking about the Abu Garcia I was looking at those but they were 4 or 5 reviews with the rod breaking in the middle :scratch:Hmm just saw online that if I get that rod I can get a embroidered hooded sweatshirt too, that might have me sold lol

I like my BPS Carbon Black rods. Keep in mind all rods will break. Could have been a bad Carbon Lite rod. However they do have thin walls. I have 3 carrot sticks that broke dead center. They do not like cooler weather. How did your Carbon Lite break?

I snagged a jig on the bottom and was trying to break the line, however I wasn't horsing it straight up and I've had a $60 wal-mart rod and a $30 wal-mart rod that I've put through more and have had them for years $100.00 rod shouldn't have broke on 14lb mono and a bitsy bug jig

You cant treat 'em like a baseball bat & expect them to last. You cant ( or shouldnt try to ) break line with the rod. You will break more rods than line. Ive had a carbon lite spinning rod for over a year now & its been put thru it all & is still the best spinning rod ive ever had, st croix included. I also have a Bps elite series that has been thru the wringer as well, not to mention a few thousand norris smallies & i havnt had a bit of trouble with it either. Its all in how you treat 'em. The more expensive, lighter, more sensitive a rod is, the more fragile its gonna be.

still though I had actually released alot of pressure from the rod though I did have some tension on it it was more on the reel than the rod, anywho hope they take it back if not I'm gonna be a sad monkey, plus like I said it was only 14lb mono I wasn't using braid or anything what if I would have swung for the fences on a big fish and my drag wasn't set right or something?

14lb line is strong stuff. If you set the hook on a fish with the drag locked down, you will more than likely move the fish or break the line with a sudden jerk. If it is less than a year old, they will take it back no problem. The rods have a date code on them they look at.
