So i'm going to checkout an Arrowglass boat with a 55hp Yamaha and a transom mounted minnkota on it tomorrow and wanted to see if anyone knew much about them? I know the company went under in 95' so I can't find much about them or there boats. I was wanting to know if they had any typical issues I should look for other than the usual stuff? I know a little bit about boats and what to look for but any tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

I have never heard of an ArrowGlass boat but I did fish out of an AstroGlas boat for about three years back about 20 years ago and it was a descent boat back then. Was 18 foot boat with 115 inline 6 Mercury motor. It fianlly begn giving me problems like Transome began cracking. wood in boat began to soak up water and boat began taking on weight because back then there was alot of wood used in boats. I finally junked it out. I was afraidd to sell it to anyone. I parted it out and took the boat itself out on Old Hickory and blew about 8 holes in it with shotgun and had concrete blocks in it and made fish structure out of it....... :thumbsup2: I would be very cautious about looking at older boats containing alot of wood in transome and framing. JMHO
