whats the best boat for the money?

You could be like us poor guys and fish from an aluminum boat... of course I haven't done very good in the tourneys this year but it's not the boat's fault.

If I had plenty of money, I would still fish aluminum. If I see somewhere I want to go or some beach I want to pull up on, I do it. With a glass boat, there's no way I would try half the stuff I do.

Hmmm

On one hand I have to go with what SilverFox said .... sure is hard to beat the aluminum bass boats .... they sit shallower in the water, and you can go places a glass boat cant .... and you can make mistakes in a aluminum boat that you cant in a glass boat, and get away with it. But wheather you go with glass or aluminum ... dollar-for-dollar .... IMO you just can't beat the Triton's.

Platinum Plus ... The new company that owns Ranger, Stratos, & Triton .... is going to make an entry level boat out of the Stratos, it will sell for less, but your gonna get less.... It will be more like the Bass Pro line of boats.

Rangers have the best hull under any boat on the water .... but other than that, just have alot of pretty extra's that make it look sharp, but in the end .... it's just a high priced fancy Triton or Stratos.

MY 2-cents worth IMO

Go look at Rangers, Tritons, Skeeters, Stratos.....determine which one fits your personality and bank account....all of them are good boats.

+1 I would agree look at these and decide what one fits you the best. I have owned a ranger and a triton. I really liked them both.

better yet....if you get a chance to....fish from several different boats if possible.....take a backseat with someone on the site when they post it or you ask if anyone has an open seat to fish out of.........that would give you an idea how the boats rides...handles and fishes from too......just a thought

 Everyone has listed a nice assortmanet of boats but you might also want to look at the Phoenix Bass Boats. They are also great boats for your buck. They also offer a more affordable boat line called the Bee-Line series which is also a very good boat for your bucks. JAHO....... :thumbsup2:

Ive owned a triton and a astro. both are good boats. ive also fished in hydra sports and javelins but if I were going to buy a new one it would either be a phoenix, skeeter,or a triton but I cant put that kind of money out for one yet. But make sure its one that fits you.

best bang for your buck is a BULLET!!!! not pricey, rides farely well considering the hull, and can get you places the deeper hulls can't go.. of course its kind of a biased opinion since i own one..

seriously though, it would all depend on what YOU are looking for and wanting.. do what snoot said, ride with some of us from the site when we have open seats and call the shot when you are satisfied.. :thumbsup2:

Bullet. Best all around boat. Bigger than most. Faster than most. Rides better than most. Looks better than most. More storage than most. Lusted over by most. You will save alot of money in gas.(Tow vehicle & running) Bullet logo says it all TOTAL PERFORMANCE! I do have to say I did get passed by a ranger the other day. I did catch up to him when he stopped at the next exit to fuel up before we got to the lake. I told him he may want to walk up to the front of my boat and take a long look because once we got to the lake he would never see the front of my boat again.

I sense a little bias :poke: But I will say that you hit the nail on the head as far as fuel consumption, whether on the water or on the road. It's hard to beat em.

new boat seems like a Z8 with a 200 is hard to beat around 30,000 grand..others new you are looking at 40,000 + up to 60,000 for others...

old boats you cant beat a the big ole 201 stratos...its built as big as a aircraft carrier, handles great in the wind, a lot of space for tackle and other fisherman also pleanty of guys wanting to sell them but the old motors such as the johnson 200 venom get around 2 - 3 miles to the gallon and they hold around 50...easy to find around 5 to 8 thousand late 90's to early 2000 models.... :2cents:

If you are still looking for a boat I have my 2011 Z521 Demo Ranger for sale. I will be glad to meet you and take you out for test run. This boat will receive full warr boat and motor. I have run and owned almost every boat there is and believe that all are good boats and they have to be to stay in buisness. The Ranger is what everyone tries to be and the entire boat is 2nd to none from the HULL to the Fine details. I can save someone $8000.00 over the exact same boat on showroom. Feel free to call 423-748-3240 Richard Thanks
