SilverFox
I've never had a problem with it as long as it was private land. The only problem I had on state land was having to make some one work on Sunday so I could enjoy my Sunday hunting.

Guest
OK, I am not a hunter, but what was the reason for no hunting on Sunday? don't know what the VDGIF had against Sunday Hunting.....and the General Assembly either.....and now they are having Squirrel Season in June
Wiseguy909
don't know what the VDGIF had against Sunday Hunting.....and the General Assembly either.....and now they are having Squirrel Season in June  I think it goes all the way back to what they call the blue laws from colonial times and the last 7 states to hold out on sunday hunting are Massachusetts Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, according to the National Rifle Association. IMHO It was a silly out dated law like kissing in public, No beer on Sunday, and certain businesses can't be open on Sunday.

Glad to see it, although some of the guys I work with from Va say they wont hunt on Sunday anyhow. They "like to have a reason to sleep in & be lazy"......WTF ever!!! Mountainman
Looked at the Hunting Regs book that came out yesterday & couldnt find any info on this. After a little internet research, HERE'S the latest: apparently, the VDGIF has drafted a resolution supporting Sunday hunting, but it still has to be heard in the general assembly. It wont be this year, but theres hope for 2012 season........
