So I noticed you guys don't hold any tournaments on FT Loudon, how come? I know i'm pretty new to the site and me and my buddy would love to fish the tournaments but some of them are just so dang far away. I've talked to a couple other guys who agreed we should have a Loudon tourny. How bout maybe squeezing one in at FT Loudon in August? I know all the Knoxvilleans sure would love it. :thumbsup2:

This is our 1st full year of running tourneys. We realize we have several members in the knoxville area and thats why we scheduled a tx on Watts Bar and a tx on Norris. If you notice, most of our tx are on cherokee and douglas because they are a mid point for most of our members. We plan on rotating the lakes from year to year and including more different lakes. However, this years schedule is set. Theres only 12 months in a year and we have basically one tx per month. Theres a couple on Boone, couple on South Holston and the 2 knoxville area lakes. Those are the outliers. The remainder are on douglas and cherokee because they are more central for everyone.

We could have an unofficial site Tx for those of us here in the Knoxville area, I'd be interested for sure on Loudon if it were a day time Tx, I would suggest Louisville Point for a launch site, fished the 1st Habitat for Humanity Tx out of there, wasn't too bad. :thumbsup2:

Ahhhh I gotcha Mountainman, I thought you guys had been around longer. Thats no biggie though just puttin it out there and seein what all the community wanted. I'd be up for a friendly tourny on Loudon. Bass whisperer why don't you ask around and let me know. I know of atleast 2 maybe 3 boats.

He is exagerating, its no worse then most lakes around. Just stay away from it on july the 4th.

Concord and ish creek are a bit busy during the weekends but upriver a bit and your more or less away from the pleasure boaters.

Except for the fact that there are 40ft cabin cruisers running around everwhere. I dont fish there much at all, but every time i do its a nitemare. Edited by brwnbass

I would fish the site trail but its not fair to me to have to drive over an hour every tournament if you guys aren't willing to have a equal amount on my end of the state. One Watts Bar tournament isn't a compromise and I believe I have said this before. Maybe some of you guys are scared of new water. :poke: :poke: I fish Loudoun and Watts Bar all the time and I haven't taken on water, been ejected, sank and or killed yet. Just Saying

Dude, the only lake that isn't an hour or more from me is Boone......We actually have more towards Knoxville then we do up here.

Let's see how many folks show up for Norris and Watts Bar.

I'm all about compromising, but I'm not gonna put on a tourney 2 or 3 hours away for 4 boats to show up.....if somebody from down that way wants to have some site tourneys they are more than welcome....it's something we have talked about in the future, but at this point we don't have enough participating members that are expressing interest.

I'm not scared of anything....

Hey look man i know you are just poking fun at us but i have fished the bar several times in the BFL an fished loudoun also

even fish loudoun with the FLW an i like loudoun can catch some good fish in that lake even with all those 40 an 50 boats running all over you an i aint took on any water yet ether but let me tell you i hate the bar with a purple passion an also i just live a rock throw from from SJK an he is right Boone is the only lake

we got that is less that an hour drive from our house the rest of them is over an hour from our house in fact it probably closer

for you to come to Douglas to fish than it is for me just my 2 cents. :rocks:

Let me just say this: How do you figure it "isnt fair" for you to drive an hour to fish a site tx, but it would be fair for our participating site members from the tri cities and sw virginia to drive an hour and a half or more to fish lakes that are closer to you? And, by the way, every single site tx we have put on, we have had multiple members from Ky and SW Va show up & participate with over and hour's drive each way.

Ok, Ok guys everyone calm down. We weren't trying to start anything on here. I just simply noticed there werent any Tourny's on Loudon so I was poking around looking for interest. I don't want this to become an issue, we just wanted to see if it would be ok to hold our own tourny for all the guys that live in the knoxville area or whoever wants to come out.

Im not trying to keep this going or beat a dead horse here but, every tournament on the schedule is at least an hour and a half away and thats to Boone and Sout Hellston. I like Fishing Cherokee, Norris and Douglas and they are well over two hours away. Im not mad or upset about it. I understand maybe next year they can have two divisions or something, but Im not going to to travel to Ft. Loudon, Tellico, Watts Bar or any lakes past Douglas, Cherokee, and Norris mainly because in this day and time its not financially feasible to travel that far to fish a tournament and I don't expect any of you guys from knoxville to go to South Hellston. I feel like most of the tournaments at this time are scheduled in the most central area. You guys can be to Norris, Cherokee, and Douglas a whole lot quicker than I can.
