Bank1128
So I'm new to TN, live right near Norris Lake now and I've had some success in the past in VA with spinners catching LMB, but I've never really figured out the correct size to use or the best colors. I've always experimented with different sizes and can't seem to figure out the best/most consistent. I've used anywhere from 1/4 oz to 3/4 oz. I really just love catching bass and don't care too much about the size (obviously bigger the better) so I'm just wondering what size I should rig up most often to catch the most consistent bass? I've also heard many different theories on color and I'm sure this varies from person to person and lake to lake, but if any Norris Lake fishermen could suggest any colors I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
Mountainman
I dont fish Norris much, but from what I understand, it is similar to Holston & Watauga in make up & structure. In the day time, Ive had best luck with a 3/8 oz white or whit/chart double willow leaf(hammered nickel only) and depending on the water temp, either burn it fast or slow roll it along structure. Night time colors of choice are anything in black, i.e. blk & blue, blk & purple, etc, etc. This is a good time to throw a 1/2 to 1 oz SB and slow roll that baby just as slow as you can around deep points, humps, and offshore structure.
