possumilk
Hey everyone... I fish for bass and other warmwater fish up in the northeast. I travel in the summers and fish in Arkansas and Texas when I stay with family. I also have some family in TN and am considering relocating soon. Not sure where to start...? I am trying to learn more about TN as far as where to live and raise a family as well as what the fishing is like. I live to fish and fish to live. Any advice about either would be welcomed. Not looking to troll around, just learn how it's done in TN in the event that I move here.

Mountainman
welcome to the site. Id say fishin is quite a bit different here than it is way up north. You'll adapt to it & love it as much as the rest of us.
trackertxw175
welcome . tennessee is like three states in one. east, which is mostly hills and mountains--- middle, which is plateau country through nashville---- and west, which is missippi valley. if you look at a map in the upper right corner the lakes like watagua and south holston are deep clear(mostly) and flow down to other lakes working their way across state down the tennessee river. i guarantee there is a type of fishing to suit you somewhere in the state
possumilk
thanks golfleft, what's Johnson City like? Is that a nice area? I am also looking at hendersonville near nashville as well as cookville. Looking for safe neighborhoods, and decent schools as I am a school teacher and would be looking to work in schools.
