Sprung a leak

The last few times I've had my boat on the water, I noticed that the carpet under my console was soaked, and my boat took on a bit of water. I looked around the hull for cracks, but didn't see anything. However, the intake for my front livewell is near the console. I was wondering if there was a seal or something that could be bad or if there was any other problem with the intake that could cause me to take on water. I've not had my boat out since May because I've been studying for the bar exam, but that heck is about to be over, and I plan to live on the water indefinately so I want to fix any problems before I go out. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ive seen the stub of the pump rot or the silicone used to seal it with can pull loose. I would investigate there first. Take a little silicone and coat the outside edges of the hole(where the intake come thru the hull) and see if that seals it off.

Thanks! I appreciate your help.

You pass that bar exam and you can just buy a new boat !! :thumbsup2:

I wish it were that easy. After I take the bar exam, I'll either be working on a strip job in VA or a farm down in Tazewell, TN so I can start paying loans and saving up to travel around and look for a job. I'll probably be working down in Tazewell, so if anybody wants to hit up Norris, send me a message.

Let us know what the problem is. Youve got me curious about your problem.

Sure will. I won't be home until another 3 weeks, but I plan on taking her out as soon as I get back to see exactly where the carpet is getting wet, and then I'll check her out and post.
