BassinHomer
I've not heard that, but I have heard that Academy in Chattanooga has them on clearance for $10.

softbaitmaker
Well I don't know if they are illegal but I do know they don't catch fish. A couple of my buddies fell into that trap and never caught the first fish one. I finally asked them if they have ever seen a bait fish or any type of fish under the water with a flash light? After a few seconds it finally sunk in and they never fished them again........
BulletDeuce
Just my It's another gimmick. Just like the Helicopter Lure, etc, etc. I don't even know anyone that owns one.
Luke RM
I have never used these cranks before I was having a conversation with my buddy about them and he said he thought they were illegal to use in tn and I was curious if it was true or not. The crap these companies make and try to sell is about ridiculous. Anybody know if they are still trying to ban fishing with tackle that has led in it? Heard it was all gonna go to tungston if that's the case they are either gonna have to drop the price or I'm gonna have to stop fishing...

You know I've got mixed feelings on the banning of lead, at first yeah it would suck and be expensive, for a little while but it would also force other manufacturers to start producing tungsten and the influx into the market would, or should anyways cause prices to drop. That being said where it would really hit home is for small custom tackle makers who really depend on it and I'm all about supporting the mom and pops
BulletDeuce
It would be hard to enforce a ban on lead. Several states have proposed it though.
softbaitmaker
It is banned in California for bait companies to produce lead baits. Ihave been using Tungston for about 5 years now since I found a wholesale Tungston dealer but when I wrote this year about getting more for myself and some of my friends I never got any reply. I wrote 3 more times and no response so I guess he is out of business. If push comes to shove before going back to lead I will switch over to Black Brass. Has about the same feel as Tungston but sinkers sizes are a little larger but not anything I couldn't live with. Just my worth.....
