Jamie De Vera
just wanna express my sigh of relief... after sitting for about 2 1/2 YEARS dad's Stratos is finally back in the yard ready for water!!! i believe in August 09 in a tournament he was in, he had to limp it back to weigh in only to find out that his motor blew.. ran lean like mine last yr and popped a piston.. i took it to Merl's Marine December 09 where it sat and sat and sat... now Merl is a great guy dont get me wrong but he had the boat until spring '11 and didnt touch it.. well i pulled the boat and took it to Greg and he was busy with 2 rebuilds but got started on dad's and while the block was at the machine shop he finished the others.. well last tuesday we went to the marina for my nephews 5th birthday party and kc and i left early cause we had to work later on that night.. little did i know that dad towed it home that day still oweing some money but Greg is a great guy and knows we pay so he let him bring it home!!! well the tab is now paid for and just waiting on new registration b4 we hit the pond!!! it's weird seeing that thing in the yard now but by golly it feels good!!! now just waiting on mine to get fixed and we be in there!!! look for us to fish the next TNBF tourney!!! fritobasser
Glad he got it back and ready to fish Now I do not know who Merl is, but there is no way a boat of mine would sit for 2 1/2 years waiting for someine to work on it. I would be mad as _____________
softbaitmaker
It's always nice to have an old friend come back home. And I don't know this guy Merl either but he would not have had my boat 3 days before I would have been pulling it out and going elsewhere.......... BulletDeuce
Being BBT is no fun. I feel your dads pain, I was "without" boat from March until May,I can't imagine going that long. I about fished all overall myself several times. When you getting the 20XD back? Edited July 27, 2011 by BulletDeuce
Jamie De Vera
i have no idea when i get it back... somehow way too much water is entering my fuel system and i will be headed to JC friday to work on it and drain every bit of fuel out then take the fuel tank out and check out the lines... 21XD
Great to hear Greg got you back on the water. Greg is a Great guy and appears to know his stuff when it comes to working on boats & motors. (any brand) I have had some business with Greg the last few years and all I can say about him is all . I hope his new marina on Boone lake does well it is closer to drive to than in North carolina. I hope you get her fixed, Greg is a fine fellow to deal with as 21 XD referred to. I think I picked up some H2O in my tank last week-Mine died as soon as it came on plane & wouldn't hardly start back up. Good times getting that gas tank out Edited July 28, 2011 by BulletDeuce

BulletDeuce
Make sure you use some Armorall to lube up the back of the tank. They can be a real pain to get out.
