softbaitmaker
I have been running a Gray line Garmin GPS for past 5 years and liked it alot. I got a good buy on a colored Garmin 172C that has the chip with it and I finally put it on the Bug Boat a week of so ago. Went out Friday night on Old Hickory to try it out and play around with it a little. The more I messed with it the better I liked it. I think I will probably sell my gray line unit since it works good also. Difference between them is Color comes with chip and Gray line is designed to be programed off a map source program you down load on your computer. You can add and remove lakes as you want to. That is a real advantage because chips limit you to certain areas and map source allows you to down load any lake in the country on the 162. I don't have the map source download disc. A buddy of mine had one and he downloaded it on my computer so I could load and unload maps on the 162........
