Bandit and I had our usual eventful night....

We started off in Deer Lick without a sniff....ran over to Friday Holler and couldn't hardly buy a bite....Bandit finally picked up a slick before dark.

After dark we ran toward the dam and ended up boating 2 keepers on a Texas rigged worm....we had at least 2 solid fish come unbuttoned on us on the same spot that the keepers came from. If we could have kept the hook in them we might have had what it took for the W.

Congrats to all the guys who weighed fish. Especially 97Astro & Jack....that was a real nice LM!

I really didnt have a terrible night for late august on Boone. Ended up with 9 or 10 fish, but all were between 13 & 14.5 inches. The one good fish I had on, I lost him at the boat trying to get the net....it looked like a 3 lb'er.<_< I caught several, including "the one that got away" on a 1/2 oz SB. Picked up 2 or 3 more on a t-rigd magnum finesse worm and the rest came on a full size rage tail craw around docks. As usual, it was awesome to see everybody again and had fun at the pre-tx gathering and the weigh in. I liked having these last 2 tx's so close together...maybe in the spring and fall we can double up and run em two weeks apart again?!? Thanks to all who came out last night.

Wiseguy, no storm to make it interesting? :thumbsup2:

Nope it was pretty boring with the exception of getting caught up in the Wing Deer Rodeo blast off traffic at Pickens Bridge Bend. It was like a game of Frogger. Does anybody remember Frogger and Atari???

Just talked to my buddy that fishes the wise county Bass club that also fished Boone lastnight. The winners had 18lbs and second place was 3lbs and change. Winning bag came from Holston side. I dont know what bait was used.

I can't believe that kind of weight was caught lastnight. :puke:
